Description of Role Responsibility 

PB Gym is looking for a motivated and energetic individual to join our growing team as a PT & Reception Team Member.

This is a dual-role position designed for someone who is passionate about fitness, enjoys working with people, and wants to gain more hands-on coaching experience within a fast-growing gym environment.

The role will primarily involve a mixture of:

Coaching semi-private training sessions (Group Sessions)
Supporting gym members on the gym floor
Helping maintain a high quality gym environment
Reception/customer service responsibilities
Assisting new and existing members in person and online
We are not simply looking for somebody to sit behind a desk.

This role is ideal for an aspiring personal trainer looking to develop their experience in a real coaching environment while also securing consistent weekly hours through reception shifts.

Your Responsibilities

Semi-Private Coaching Sessions

You will be responsible for helping coach and lead semi-private training sessions within the gym.

This includes:

Creating a welcoming environment for members
Motivating and encouraging clients during sessions
Assisting members with exercises and technique
Building relationships with members
Helping members stay accountable and consistent
Bringing high energy and professionalism to every session
Our members range from complete beginners to experienced gym-goers, so communication and people skills are just as important as technical knowledge.

Reception & Member Experience

You will also help manage the reception area and overall customer experience inside the gym.

Responsibilities include:

Welcoming members and new visitors
Helping answer questions about memberships/services
Serving drinks, supplements and gym products
Maintaining a friendly and professional atmosphere
Assisting with customer enquiries in person and online
Helping members feel part of the PB Gym environment

Gym Standards & Environment

We take a lot of pride in the environment we have built at PB Gym.

While we have professional cleaners, we expect all team members to:

Help keep the gym tidy and organised
Re-rack weights where needed
Keep reception areas presentable
Take initiative if something needs attention
Uphold the standards our members expect

Communication & Work Ethic

The people who succeed at PB are proactive, reliable and good with people.

You will regularly communicate with:

Gym members
New prospects
Online enquiries
Existing clients
Because of this, confidence, professionalism and communication skills are extremely important within this role.

We are looking for someone who genuinely cares about helping people and wants to contribute positively to the culture inside the gym.

Pay Structure

Reception shifts are paid above minimum wage
Coaching sessions are paid at £22/hour

Role Requirements

Level 3 PT Qualification (or currently completing)
Strong communication skills
Passion for fitness and coaching
Positive energy and professionalism
High work ethic and reliability
Comfortable working with people face-to-face
Flexible availability (arranged in advance)
Ability to work evenings and some weekends
Respect for the PB Gym brand and environment
